Duck Breast and Pinot Noir

As we all have to stay in isolation during this trying time, we get to spend time cooking with family.  My twin and I  are doing this remotely and sharing recipes and wine pairings.  The other day she cooked a fantastic duck breast dish.   Moira Rose made fruit wine hilarious in a Schitt's Creek episode.  My twin found some old fruit wine and decided to make a delicious sauce with it. She used a Cherry Fruit Wine as the base of her reduction and then used fresh strawberries and blackberries to compliment to sauce.  She sautéed shallots in a little butter and then reduced the cherry wine down adding in the fresh fruit. Sip and SUP

​ This evening we invited guests to a fabulous treat: A Wine on the Water Event, SIP ‘N SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board). Guests were given a short demonstration about Stand Up Paddle Boards on a gorgeous evening on Quonochontaug Pond. Actually a coastal lagoon, but commonly called a salt pond. We hit the water and all were very excited. The group were cheering and happy to be out on the water as we paddled to a sandy point about 20 mins from our launch point. We arrived on a beautiful sandy beach and Our Naturalist, Mark Bullinger pulled up with the boat provisioned with cheese & crackers, fruit, and Rosé Wines for the tasting. ​​We tasted gorgeous Rosé portfolio...
